Elizabeth David Bowie by Terry O'Neill in Beverly Hills, 1975.
Terry O'Neill recalled this day:
"Liz asked me to bring David to her home in Hollywood to discuss a role in a movie she was planning. Bowie arrived hours late and Taylor was not amused. I couldn’t believe that he kept the biggest superstar in the world waiting, but I managed to persuade the two of them to pose together to lighten the mood." .
While Elizabeth was annoyed, she didn't hold a grudge; in an interview with Rolling Stone two decades later, she praised Bowie, saying: “I happen to love David Bowie and think he’s a brilliant actor, onstage, and I love his movies. But I don’t think he has been given artistic control in his films. But I think he’s got great, good taste.”
