In my stories a couple days ago, I took you on a mini-tour through the style of art nouveau, a style of art from the turn of the 20th century which was heavily influenced by nature, and manifested itself in all sorts of media, including painting, graphic illustration, architecture, furniture design, ceramics, jewelry, and perrrrdy much everything else. Think Gaudí and Klimt, who often included natural elements and twisty, organic curves in their work. Ever seen or owned a Tiffany lamp? That’s art nouveau.
I think it’s safe to say that humans will always be inspired by nature - we are one and the same.
Who is your favorite nature-inspired artist? Tag them below, and get to know them a bit better - ask them if they’ve found the style of art nouveau influential in their work!
