We are truly our biggest and worst enemies in so many ways!
When it comes to creating healthier habits, we tend to self sabotage.
We believe negative lies about ourselves that aren’t true.
Our pridefulness blinds us during conflicts with loved ones and prevents us from peace and togetherness.
We say, “I’ll start that tomorrow”.
Our sin pulls us from godliness.
We are the ones who make excuses for our own behaviors and feelings.
Yet we tend to point at everything else around us as the problem....
There’s always a reason. An explanation. An excuse.
But let me tell you a secret...
You will always be busy.
Sin will always be a battle.
Comfort will always be more desirable than hard work.
There will always be negative lies that you can choose to believe about yourself.
You will always have flaws.
There will always be people around you who make things harder.
There will be many stages of life that are challenging or even just straight up devastating.
Money will always be a distraction.
Temptations will always be there to taunt you.
But will you choose to see yourself as the one who is ultimately your own worst enemy?
When you are not doing what you know you should be doing or want to be doing, will you blame yourself or your circumstances?
Whether you want to grow your relationship deeper with God, develop healthier eating habits, exercise regularly, make more time for what matters and stop wasting it on things that don’t, or have healthier relationships... Only ownership will get you where you need to be.
Excuses and blame on external factors will keep you exactly where you are.
What excuses have you been making lately that have been holding you back from growth?👇🏼
