✨ WHAT IS OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY? ✨
Occupational Therapy (OT) is a very broad profession with various specialty areas, a bit similar to how doctors may specialise in different fields. It’s found in many settings – you may have come across an Occupational Therapist (OT) in a hospital, private practice, at work or a corporate environment, or as a home-visiting therapist.
The common philosophy of all OT areas, is that it optimises how you function in day-to-day activity and promotes your quality of life, whether it be cognitive or physical in nature. Occupational Therapists use a variety of treatment techniques and work with individuals of all ages. It’s common for an occupational therapist to consider the social and mental impact of your presenting problem, and throughout your recovery journey.
