Help us help a great father on Father’s Day.
The week before Thanksgiving 2017, Justin was caught in a fire. The worst damage was to his right leg from the knee to his ankle. He was on fire. He could not, "stop drop and roll." Everything was on fire. He had to run through the fire ahead of him to get out. He frantically stomped his way out eventually. His cell phone, wallet, clothes, pics of the kids all gone.
He was transported to Washington Hospital Burn Unit ( https://www. medstarwashington.org/our- services/emergency-trauma-and- burn-care/treatments/the-burn- center/). It was a third-degree burn which burned from the inside out. All the nerves, muscle were burned, as well as, partial tendons and bone damage. Twenty-plus surgeries and three-and-a-half months later, He was released to get care twice a week for the foreseeable future for the wounds.
It has been six months now and he still has open wounds, mounting medical bills, and no state or federally funding available... not even food stamps, free cell phone or general relief due to a consistent employment history. But with wounds this severe and the swelling, he is unemployable.
As a past employee of mine, Justin reached out as "A Shot in the Dark" for help please donate to help Justin get back on his feet.
Thanks!!! Here is his facebook to send uplifting messages. https://www.facebook.com/daddyofthree
