To spot or not to spot...in this case, don't spot.
Deadlift is an extremely effective exercise for hypertrophy or strength, that should be incorporated in any routine out there. Although as effective as it is, it is quite a challenging exercise that require skill and technique.
Consistent practicing and focusing on form is the safest way to train, start with lighter way and focus on the overall volume. If you can’t pick it up then drop the weight, no need for spotter in this exercises, save your back for another day. -
