Three years ago today, I started my Fulbright journey 7,000 miles away from home to understand my identity as a Korean-American. I faced fears of rejection, thinking I was unworthy to fit Korea’s standards of thin beauty or that I wasn’t American enough to be liked by my host family or students. A Dream came true by just trying to apply and not giving up.
I’m grateful to be traveling back to my parent’s home country in a few weeks with Liat to plan KKOOM’s Dream Camp in Seoul, Korea’s capitol.
I’m $71 away from reaching my fundraising goal to match $700 to fund two college scholarships for Se-Hee and Yonghoon who grew up at Samsungwon Orphanage. If you could help in any way, I’ll give you air hugs from GA 🤗
Link to give is in my bio 💜
