It just dawned on me. The signs have been everywhere the last few days & I haven’t really taken too much notice until I got a phone call this morning. I can’t believe I thought I would be suited to a 9-5 and got so close to being tied down to it. I was born to be free. I was born to help and inspire others through my love of health and fitness. That is me. I have done a full circle and I’m going back to what I love most, but with a massive twist and with only the best people doing it with me @mizzydd ❤️❤️I found my why @emelipaulo 💃🏼💃🏼💃🏼 because I fucking love it!

Two plyos I’ve been doing consistently.
.
Staggered broad jump to single leg bound. Develops stiffness in the lower leg for sprinting speed. Should be preceded by broad jump and stick, double broad jumps, staggered broad jumps, single leg in place hops. .
Diagonal broads. Stiffness in the lower body that could transfer to transitions from jogging to a lateral sprint start. Happens a lot on offense.

I don’t play a ton of basketball these days. One thing I notice right away is how bad my reaction is on the court. This is one of my favorite drills to help me maintain and hopefully build some more of that reactiveness. Not only that, but as you can see, it takes a great amount of lateral quickness and change of direction which is important for field athletes. Got a rough start but was able to make up for it towards the end. It’s also to nice to have a partner that is a little slower than you, right @neema_d ?

Not posting the good ones in terms of social media but this happens in training. Reactive based training is about solving problems and making decisions like it would be in relation to sport. There is a time and place for closed drills but need to open up athletes and see how they solve problems, quick decision making, where energy is leaked, how they perform in sport related environment, etc. this is my favorite when fault happens because we talk about what they were seeing, what they felt, thought, etc list goes on. Well my 2018 plans blew up in smoke today, of all days too - I didn’t get the DHS job I applied for, after making it through so many stages😞Then this yoga mat jumped out at me at Ishka on clearance, which maybe I can take as a sign that the reason I haven’t been finding Yoga Teacher Training courses that work for me, is because I was trying to make it fit around a work schedule that wasn’t meant for me - well obviously if I didn’t get the job..So under the tree it goes🎄and now I can sit back and ponder on the window of opportunities to propel myself forward, I now have for 2018... #ishka #lifehappenswhenyourebusymakingplans

This exerxise is featured in my upcoming video "(insert clever name I will eventually think of)" .. Its gonna be all about developing quick feet/agility/Reactive C.O.D using some drills I've come up with.

Perfect for a team circuit.
Basketball🏀 tennis 🎾 Baseball just to name a few that involve quick shuffling of the feet for lateral movement and COD. Can easily make this DRIll reactive with a coach signaling in each direction.

This exercise is not only ultra effective, but you can have as many members of your team as neccesarry at this station assuming u have a few res bands which you probably do if your a coach. This is clutch when you have awkward numbers of members/group clients.
There are many variations of this drill I perform, I'll include all of them in my next in depth video. (The ones with the sexy thumbnails I pay ppl 5$ for) 👊

Apart from some bits and pieces I'm making for the kids, check out my instastory to see my wip, I'm moving on from Christmas and thinking which way to take my little business in the new year. These wands have proved very popular at the Christmas markets, so I'm thinking this is the way forward, but I do love making the felt garlands like the mermaids and clouds, and also the cushion covers, can I do them all and not confuse people with what I make??!!! Few blips, but a great little combination exercise working on various big toe and little toe cuts, while backpedaling, accelerating, decelerating, changing direction, creating angles, scanning, and being light on the feet at all times.

FCV RAINY DAYS ❄️
With bad weather and snow @fcvacademy decided to mix the training up and continue with the double sessions, which they do every Monday. The players all have access to the local gym whilst they are here, so we all went in for a Lower body circuit and a hooping/core session.

The players then got back to the facilities and had a lunch and rested up before heading to a local sports hall for an indoor football training session. The players were put through a warm up, and then into some passing practices getting plenty of touches on the ball. They then went into a 5v5 tournament which was very fast paced and competitive with a fantastic atmosphere created by the players.
