#Disobedience is a heavy and thought-provoking drama that will either leave you satisfied or let down.
In this film, a woman (Rachel Weisz) returns to her community to mourn the death of her rabbi father. There, she instantly regains her passion for a childhood friend (Rachel McAdams), and tests all boundaries of faith and sexuality.
Although this drama boasts demanding and terrific performances from Rachel Weisz (“Confidence”), Rachel McAdams (“The Notebook”) and Alessandro Nivola (“Face Off”) respectively, it doesn’t change the fact that “Disobedience” feels dragged on and the story seems scattered. This is just another case of a good film, that could’ve been great. I felt let down and was expecting more.
Wait to see it at home.
