Yaaassssss!!! Lowest weight I’ve been since having Theo and I’m out of the rut of bingeing I’m rubbish food and then punishing myself with exercise 👌🏻 I’ve found a balance that fits in with my life, making sure I hit my protein and fibre targets, getting those steps in and a couple of workouts a week! It been a crazy indulgent few weeks as the summer season has kicked in. Holiday has been followed by weddings, stags, mid week work events and then there was the small case of the World Cup. I’ve been employing all my techniques during this period and still kept training consistent and have put on about 2kg whilst thoroughly enjoying myself. It’s time to just tighten that up a little bit now and bring more balance back to my life.

When things start spiralling a lot of people start to panic that they’ve lost all their progress and go into ‘f*ck it mode’ where they lose control, drink all the beers eat all the cakes and fall out of their fitness routine. Before you know it a number of weeks if not months have gone by and you’re making your January resolution again!

One of my most favourite moments on this weightloss journey is when you realise you can do something so much easier than you did before. Whether it's bending down to tie your shoe laces without feeling as though your chest is so restricted you can't breath or being able to walk a few extra flights of stairs or meters, being able to do something with ease is fan-fucking-tabulous!
Okay, so why do I just have a picture of me here cradling my sleeping baby (Mamma win just for the sleeping!)? Clearly I'm not tying my shoes up or running around the block! So what the fuck am I doing?
For those with a keen enough eye you would have already noticed the fact that the picture is taken straight on, or as near as can be achieved with a snoozing baby in arms. It's not held at any extreme angle or tilted for the perfect jaw line angle.
If you have ever had a weight problem you would understand exactly where I am heading with this and why it's such a big deal.
Taking pictures of yourself while dodging unflattering angles that highlight extra chins, neck flab or any other bit of flab you have hanging around for that matter is seriously hard work. Its like an exercise workout all by itself. I kid you not, I've had more muscle cramps from trying to hold my mobile at angles I deemed satisfactory enough than I have in any deliberate workout I have ever done.
My win for today, a selfie without the need to go to exorbitant lengths to hide any flabby, wobbly bits. It simply is what it is and I am more than happy to take it.
