Nothing like Dujac with a bit of age. 98 was a tough year for burgundy with patchy weather, outbreaks of mildew, oidium followed by spots of rain in September. The reds have aged nicely and are drinking well now though I have had on occasions detected pyrazines on the nose. If u have some 98s in your cellar, now is a good time to start drinking them.
Domaine Dujac Clos st Denis 98. Wonderful aromatics, rose petal, lovely red fruits, earth, dried peel, soft and very fine texture. Tart and elevated acid in the finish. A lovely drink nonetheless.
