"You can't expect to see change if you never do anything differently." @rajath_kr28 shares one of many the beautiful experiences which he witnesses every Sunday at the Special Needs Home For Men - Social Service Complex. "In one way or the other, the men always surprise us and leave us speechless.
But this one is really a blinder. A few volunteers were teaching the men alphabets and numbers. Mahadeva asked us what was going on in his sign language. After we explained to him, he too wanted to try. We wrote down a set of alphabets and rest was one beautiful sight to watch. (in pic is Mahadeva writing the alphabet)
He previously didn't know what the alphabet is, but the urge to learn everything is his passion.
I think that the men are not specifically challenged ones, but are the ones with super power. They tend to learn things with dedication and commitment.
They learn at their own pacr. But once they do, they never forget.
We learn lot from them. They surprise us time and again by showing us what they are capable of.
It takes months or even years to see the any progress, but it's worth waiting for. Even the smallest of changes mean a lot and witnessing it is one of the greatest feelings in the world." Come join us to bring change to the men at Social Service Complex, U&I at #Bangalore
