Day 4 in Belize - Part 2 and a half
The bus ride back to Belize City was a little bit more eventful this go round as it was packed to the brim with locals and travelers. We spent the better part of an hour standing trying desperately not to bump our limbs into other people's heads as the driver raced for first place in a non existent race, I was sadly unsuccessful. We passed the time talking about anything and everything.
Once we arrived in the capital, #belmopan, enough people disembarked for us to snag a seat, we celebrated our victory with a soft #kiss. The rest of the ride was much more relax. Once in #belize city we met Bruno, our soon to be taxi driver. He quickly got us to where we needed to be with time to spare as well as a modest discount on the water taxi fare.
The water taxi ride was equally packed once more with a good mix. The gentlemen beside me was from Caye Caulker, our final destination before our return home. But for now we were headed to #sanpedro for 4 nights.
Sophie being the rebel she is broke all the rules without repercussion as I watched silently from the side lines. Once in San Pedro we hoofed it to another water taxi and bought our tix to our Air BnB. With time to waste we ate on a patio by the beach and enjoyed hairy zucchini sticks and some noodles. I also joined Sophie in drinking some tropical drinks, yummmmmy.
With the darkness quickly descending around us we grabbed our ride to our dock and set up our temporary home for the next few days. San Pedro here we come.
