The Wind from the Sea – Modern Aesthetics of Shanghai School and Youth Art
Shanghai is widely known as the economic center of China, but this metropolis is also home to a rich culture scene. To put a spotlight on the artistic side of Shanghai, the China Cultural Center in Brussels will host an #artexhibition that showcases the contemporary work of 27 young artists.
The cultural aspect of Shanghai is sometimes overlooked due to the city’s economic importance. However, Shanghai is also flourishing with creative energy and cultural fusion, revealing a unique blend of East and West that matches the city’s exceptional history. Besides a metropolis of technological and ecological development, Shanghai provides an ideal backdrop for artistic expression.
The thriving art scene in Shanghai gives young artists the opportunity to explore their personal style through different sorts of contemporary art. In this process, a variety of themes is touched upon in an open-minded fashion, such as the advancement of #traditional Chinese art, the integration of art and science, and the relation between individual and public spaces. These themes are also the main topics of the exhibition.
To delve into all the different topics, the exhibition will showcase traditional as well as innovative forms of art, uncovering the contemporary aesthetics and youth art that are prevalent in Shanghai
