There are a lot of different things that YOU will need to do to become an elite basketball player. YOU don't want to spend hours in the gym wasting your valuable time. Everything that YOU do in PRACTICE needs to be done with a purpose in mind and with FOCUS. Throwing up 500 shots is a waste of time if YOU aren't concentrating and working to master your shot. The basketball player in this video is training with Oney Harrison (@onz_15), a Trainer and basketball coach in Lexington, Kentucky who focuses on helping players build their SKILLS and overall basketball IQ. It's all about developing the SKILLS that will help players PERFORM in games. In this video @onz_15 has the player doing a shooting drill that always helps to bring FOCUS. Miss a shot and YOU have to run to the top of the key on the other end of the court and then back before resuming your shooting. It will only take a few missed shots before YOU concentrate fully because it will be in the back of your mind that if YOU don't FOCUS on your shot YOU will miss and have to run. A lot of young people ask about improving their leaping ability. Building strength in the weight room and running at the track help YOU have the ability and stamina to leap high. One of the great tools that YOU can use to transform your body is sand. The basketball player in this video is @bmacfischer, a teacher of basketball FUNDAMENTALS. He teaches players of all ages, including D1 and professional athletes. He's a HandleLife trainer based in South Florida and we have all been impressed by his amazing foot work and ball handling. In this video @bmacfischer is grinding so hard it is difficult to describe all that is happening. Agility, explosiveness, endurance are all being worked on at the same time. And he is doing all of that while simulating his movements in the court including his jump shot. Becoming a great basketball player is like finishing a jigsaw puzzle. Your conditioning and your basketball SKILLS training are the pieces and YOU have to figure out how to arrange all the pieces to create a high performing basketball player. The basketball player in this video is Mihir Patel, a 13 year old, 8th grade, point guard from Atlanta, Georgia.
