I decided to go with half lotus today for #featheryourpeacock. Getting into a full lotus upside down is a complete mystery to me. I think part of it is the fear of falling while upside down in lotus because getting into lotus whilst upright is not an issue. Any thoughts?

I know many people are #addicted to #coffee and #tea. Some like #beer, #wine and hard liquor. However, I simply love #drinking fruit juices and plain water. Once the doctor told me, "Stop drinking #fruit #juices, your sugar level is high." Sob... so I ended up drinking more water. The minimal daily #consumption of water for me is about 4 litres. I am a cow but I like #succulent medium rare #steak. Lol. *

Do you know the land mammal which consumes the most water per pound of #bodyweight is the #cow? A single cow can consume up to 100 gallons of #water a day during #hot #summer months. *

#Bovine animals are composed but extremely obstinate. I think I fit the bill too. #🤣🤣 My husband and good friends know how stubborn I can be and it is never easy for them to change my mind. Hence, sometimes people like me have to get knocked against the walls several times before realising the pain. #hahahaha *

Perseverance, resilience and determination are #strengths but they can also be one's greatest #weaknesses too. Thus, as I grow older, I learnt that everything needs a #balance.

Let’s talk about #unilateral training and what it does for you 💪🏾 And the advantages it has over bilateral movements.

First, “unilateral training” is when you train limbs individually instead of engaging both sides together (single arm bicep curl, single arm shoulder press, single leg leg press, etc).

If you aren’t using some of them in your routine, you’re shorting yourself of faster results. Below are 3 major advantages unilateral has over bilateral.

1️⃣ More progress 🙌🏾 No one quite understands why, but a couple major studies have proven that working sides individually not only strengthens the side being worked at the time, but also somehow strengthens the side not doing a damn thing (or at least less)!!! .
2️⃣ Fixes imbalances ⚖️ We all have one weaker side and it’s caused by several factors in everyday life (what side you use most with tasks, the way you shift when you’re standing, mannerisms, etc). Unilateral training can fix these imbalances. And while a lot of people really just want to work out for physical results (and care little about #stability and #balance), you’re sure gonna wish you cared (and trained for it) in your later years! 👵🏾 .
3️⃣ Core strength and stability 👙 But hey, ain’t nothing wrong with wanting some abs too 😆 Want a free core workout? 🙋🏾‍♀️ Well due to the fact unilateral exercises throw off your balance, your core automatically has to work harder in order for you to be able to complete the movements.

So yeah, add in some unilateral movements. You already know the moves anyway so just alternate. Easy adjustment!
