I don't like to post videos, it makes me feel very awkward and I don't like the aesthetics, but this needed moving image πŸ˜… This isn't really 'yoga', but has been a game changer in working towards pancake. It's more of an active flexibility dance stretch. My professional instructions:
β€’ DO NOT try this before you're warmed up properly. If you pull something, it's your own stupid fault.
β€’ Think long and graceful. Not shown here. I am neither πŸ˜‚
β€’ Stretching of any kind might be uncomfortable, but should NEVER be painful!
β€’ Point your damn toes as if your life depends on it πŸ™Œ
β€’ Glue the back of your legs to the floor. Pretend your actually stuck. Have some fun. Live a little.
β€’ Reach for your toes with a straight back.
β€’ Fix your hair and your shirt.
β€’ 10 - 15 pulses and a 10 sec hold, left, right and center.

Why is it so hard to understand that I censor my pictures BECAUSE I WANT TO? Me posting nakey yoga pics is not a nudist thing, it's a selflove thing. I admire the beauty of the human body, except my own and I want learn to see myself in the same way. I have no desire to walk around naked in public, but I simply want to be comfortable wearing shorts this summer 🌞 And maybe finally take my son swimming. He loves swimming soooo much, but we've been to a public swimming pool only once, because I die a little everytime I wear a bikini in public. Anyway, Wide Angle Forward Fold to one leg:
β€’ I recommend starting with a regular forward fold, not a twisted fold as shown here. Sit straight up with your legs wide, turn your upper body facing the leg you will fold over. With a straight (!) spine reach for your toes.
β€’ Again, get out of your head and aim to touch your ribs to your thighs. The goal here is to stretch the hamstrings and open the hips, not bend the spine.
β€’ Note my feet are flexed and toes are facing up. This is not random! It helps to keep your knees from rotating inwards.
β€’ Squeeze the glutes to keep the legs straight. I promise you, this will help you channel your inner pancake. #bethepancake

Lizard Pose. Do you have any idea how hard it is to get a good angle on this pose? Very. I had one shot where I succesfully covered everything, but I was partly out of frame and I kind of gave up πŸ’ Anyway. One of my fav hipopeners right here, such a versatile pose.
β€’ Keep your spine straight. Start on your hands and work your way down. Think lizard, not turtle.
β€’ Either back leg up or down, no inbetweening please.
β€’ Keep the front leg close to your upper body. Pull the knee in, don't let it drop outwards.
β€’ Keep your hips level, don't sink one down.

Bound Angle, this one is kind ofobvious. If you don't know how to do this one, ask your baby. Have you ever seen a baby play? They're like freaking yogi masters.
β€’ Don't bend forward as long as you're not comfortable sitting upright in this pose. The forward fold is to intensify the stretch. It comes from the hips and is done with a straight spine. Which is kind of hard if you can't even sit straight.
β€’ Sit with your back against a wall. I just tried it, it's really comfy πŸ‘Œ
β€’ Don't force your knees down. Use your breath, deep breaths. Hyperventilating won't do shit. Go deeper into the stretch with every exhale.
β€’ Relax your damn legs. Tensing your legs to get your knees down is kind of the opposite of what you're trying to achieve. #bethepancake

At work when I test the limits of those weird nurse pants πŸ’ Malasana is the shit πŸ’© Notes on this shit:
β€’ Don't just drop it like a squat. Ease into your Malasana. Especially mind your knees and your blood circulation if you're not used to Malasaning.
β€’ Don't let everything hang loose. Malasana is an active pose. Hold that shit up. Tense those leg muscles, squeeze that booty, core up.
β€’ Keep your back straight for heaven's sake. Your knees have no business being all up in your ears. Keep them apart like they did Romeo and Juliet. When they come together, everyone dies.
