It’s race week! See you at Oak Island next Saturday! It’s the first race in the “BAM” race series! Join me for any of the events and use “ToddG” for 15% off. All these races are along coastal NC and take place on islands. A great way to have a little fun at the beach and stay healthy.
Saturdays 33mile Ultra was definitely much harder than I had geared myself up for and a bit of a rollercoaster because of that but here’s me on a high at mile 26, very happy to see the familiar face of mr @gordondonnachie as I knew it signified I was nearing the end of the lovely 4 mile climb up to CP4.
Only stopped briefly for a quick cuddle and a high 5 from the marshals before stretching the legs out for the 5mile descent into killin, managing to pick a few places along the way and finish relatively strong in a time of 4hrs 50mins gaining me 48th place out of 412 finishers. I think that’s pretty respectable given it’s only my 2nd ever ultra!? And a quick mention/thanks to everyone involved in the organisation/running of these events, see you next time! #scottishultras#ultrarunninguk#bamracing#phracingclub#glenogle33#go33
I did this today. Been keeping it quiet for about 6 months. Mainly to not distract me from the Berlin Marathon, then, I dunno why. Because of reasons. Was such a great event, loads of lovely people and went pretty much to plan. My first ultra, high 5 to maself! And thanks @astoldbyginger87 for looking after me!🤗
Saturday afternoon vibes
#donedidit#GO33 second time round. So much harder, so much slower but so much better.
Had the joyful company of @thehurtlockers and pumps (only his) to keep us going in those darkest hours. There was incredible sunshine and also some battering rain; but overall it was fairly enjoyable. 10 out of 10.
