There's a story behind this one, but I'll keep it brief. When dog is enamoured with a certain chunk of driftwood, dog will obey. I don't think either of us noticed when the waves swept in as she obediently sat waiting for me to throw the wood. But what surprised me more was how she persistently sat there as the ice cold water washed over her. So lesson for the day: dogs love sticks being thrown for them so much they're willing to risk life and limb. Happy ending: she caught it and dried off from her superlative excitement. Taken in Maidens.
