Coming up on The Kiwi Kit tomorrow: Money Saving Strategies for Your Move to New Zealand!
Are you as bad at saving money as I am?
I haaaate to admit that I’m a crappy saver, but the truth is, if I don’t have my eyes set on a prize (like a plane ticket or a new camera lens) I have a hard time saving lots of money just because I should.
Before I moved to New Zealand, I knew I needed to have at least $4,200 in my bank account due to visa requirements [and to stay alive here and all].
With a tangible number to work towards, I did a much better job at saving than just putting aside some random amount of money to live in New Zealand.
If you’re like me and need a solid guideline to saving money, check this space tomorrow for some tips, tricks, hard truths, and templates for saving based on your specific spending habits.
I can already tell you that by putting some of these practices in place, my spending & saving habits have shown sooo much improvement.
New Zealand can be expensive, but moving here is one million percent worth it. See you tomorrow, Kiwi savers!
