Inside a vegan fridge... People always say to me when they hear I am vegan, "that must be so hard never eating cheese, yogurt, burgers etc". I tell them, everything you eat...i can eat. With an alternative. You have butter - I have vegan butter...which tastes the exact same. You have yogurt, I eat coconut yogurt or soy yogurt which tastes better than 'normal' yogurt. You have milk & I have millions of other options to choose from (soy, almond, hazelnut, macadamia, coconut, rice etc), you have cheese, I too have cheese...every single kind...from cheddar, to cream cheese, to feta and parmasan - I have it, I eat it, just vegan - healthier and cruelty free. You have chocolate? I too, have chocolate. You eat gelatine sweets, I have sweets that are gelatine free. I eat veggie burgers, sausages, any meat alternative I want? I find.
The flip side to it all? Is i am healthier, happier and nothing has died or suffered for my appetite.
I became vegan to clear my acne skin, then I read more into it and seen the bigger picture. It's not just for skin, for my health, for the animals but for our planet too. Going vegan has so many positive factors.
Since making the switch? I've never felt more happier, healthier, positive, less tired, no emotional upset or moods, my skin is clear & my heart is filled with more love for other species and our planet. I feel like a brand new person. There's more to my life than allowing other species to suffer a life of pain and fear. Live and let live I say! 💛
