11 months post op my #paosurgery.
My summer of “making gains” has come to an end and will be continued with a fall season of “making even more gains.” My surgeon is pleased with the muscle gains I’ve made over the past three months, however I was told to keep going and make more gains. 💪👊
My surgeon wasn’t too shocked that my #hip muscles are still going into spasm and falling asleep at times because my #recovery has been very slow. The locked hip I experience is because my muscles just say no more and literally shut down. This isn’t because I overdo it, my muscles just simply want to go back to sleep.
I was asked if I wanted to be unscrewed as my screws stick out of my hip bone, I constantly feel them, they ache, I have a constant itch that never gets itched because it’s deep in my bone and these guys steal my warmth...remind you I’m a Texan living in Switzerland...but I said, “No, thank you, I’ll do anything to avoid another hip surgery, I can deal with it.” 💪 #iamwarrior
I finally have a legit reason to tell people I’m all screwed up. 🤭🤣

It’s a very good thing I enjoy working out, these gains WILL happen, no matter what I have to do to keep these muscles awake and growing. #paowarrior #whateverittakes #toughasnails #paostrong #paotough #imafighter #gains #hipdysplasia #allscrewedup #nevergiveup #determination #strength #patience #hipsurgery #livingwithhipdysplasia #strong #alwayskeepfighting
