Client spotlight here this Saturday for @coffee_and_commandos .
I've worked with emma for quite some time now. A very stubborn system in terms of building muscle tissue.
.
Emma's off season intake this time around got all the way up to 145P/450C/80F.
Was she uncomfortable at this intake? Yes.
.
BUT... the important factors here; it was a gradual increase up to this intake, she was able to stay objective and keep her goals in context throughout the entire duration, she was CONSISTENT with her intake and intensity in the weight room, and her trust in me was undeniable.
.
Emma comes from an ED background. Now, while she is recovered, there will ALWAYS be mental cues that are present when pushing as much food as she was... same for anyone.
.
The factor of trust in this is something I Can. Not. Stress. The importance of more. If there wasn't a sound relationship between emma and myself and she didn't genuinely think that I was watching her or had her best interest in mind, she would not have been successful with this phase.
.
The scale wasn't a factor here... in fact, there's only a 6 pound difference between these 2 photos. Emma's weight fluctuates significantly ... to the point where we barely even reference it anymore lol.
.
The scale is merely a small tool used in an immense tool bag for progress. Pictures, gym performance, body composition, etc all reign more important in MY opinion.
.
The bottom line is that muscle tissue is exceptionally hard to put on. You can diet for 6-8-10-12 weeks and lose a significant amount of body fat fairly easy... muscle takes more time. Muscle takes a lot more effort, all more of being "uncomfortable".
.
Time to enter building phase number 2 for this one 😈🍑. Bright future ahead.

First practice in 3months. Well if I could say my self " wtf" honestly. It shouldn't be a surprise that it was hard, painful, I guess my body was still not ready to move yet. I can't bend my knee is certain directions making child's pose, fixed firm, camel etc so difficult. I kept trying to keep going but honestly I was highly defeated by my own body. It seems soooo far gone behind me to be able to flow again. However I'll try again. Maybe this week. But I did my first inversion in 2months sooo long ago from today.... but I will say I got a lot of mental clearing out of my way... I was mostly in a state of " you're okay, this is okay. You will be fine " as I stared at the ceiling laying there trying to figure out how much more patience will be needed .

💥TOP 5 CORE BUILDINGEXERCISES💥
.
😂There’s a lot of debate in the fitness world over which exercises get you shredded abs the fastest, but the reality is that the only thing that can get you “shredded” is dieting...
.
🙏However, there are a few exercises that I believe are the best for developing a strong & impressive looking core!
.
😁In addition to just looking sexy, having a strong core is VITAL to any exercise regimen & can help prevent many injuries so don’t skimp!
.
1️⃣ The Plank (& variations)
.
The plank is undoubtedly one of the all around core exercises simply because it makes you focus on contracting every little muscle in order to hold yourself up. Be sure to keep your hips in tight, butt down & back straight.
.
Example:
.
4 sets of 45 sec holds/45 sec rest
.
2️⃣ The Crunch
.
The crunch is a very simple yet effective movement that can again, be modified for any fitness level. Focus on relaxing your neck & using your abs to lift your shoulders off of the ground.
.
Example:
.
5 sets of 20-25 reps/30 sec rest
.
3️⃣ Hanging Leg Lifts
.
These can be done hanging from a pull up bar or in a roman chair & make for an amazing workout if done correctly. Make sure you are not swinging, slowly raise your legs (or knees if necessary) up to parallel with the ground & slowly lower them back to the starting point.
.
Example:
.
4 sets of 15-20 reps/45 sec rest
.
4️⃣ The Ab Wheel (ask your gym for one)
.
The ab wheel, similar to the plank is one of the best core workouts simply because you are engaging so much of the body. Start with a small roll out at first & work your way up to a full body roll out while focusing on contracting the core muscles.
.
Example:
.
4 sets of 15-20 reps/45 sec rest
.
5️⃣ Russian Twist
.
The Russian Twist is not only essential for a strong core & helps to build amazing obliques. Keep your feet slightly off the ground, back straight & your hands out in front of you as you contract side to side.
.
Example:
.
5 sets of 20 sec work (AMRAP)/ 10 sec rest
.
These can be added to ANY workout & can be done virtually every day if you’re up for it 🤓

Yesterday chest workout was unreal... get pumps like Arnold... in and out of the gym 😂😂😂... #gymlife #gym

I dislike sitting all my workout while doing my exercises so I always add a few exercises that make my puls go up a bit without loosing focus on the main muscle I’m training, and today I trained shoulders ☝🏼Do: 4 sets x 8-10 reps 😘🔥🔥 .
