Here’s a flashback to my first ever Mother’s Day. Sharing because it’s a super cute picture but also because the kids and I are all sick today and the picture of us dying on the couch with saltines isn’t as Instagram worthy. 😘🤢 Motherhood takes a village, guys!
I am reminded of that today more than ever as my amazing husband (village member #1) brings us toast and 7up.
JD, my experience of motherhood is amazing because with us, it truly is parenthood. We do this together. We compliment each other and made some pretty amazing boys. I may be in all the selfies with the boys, but I can't even begin to list all you do for us.
To my mom, the mom I am is only possible because I witnessed you, the best kind of selfless, giving, and caring mother. I can only imagine how many nights you were up with us as we were sick. I love you for all ways you sacrificed for us and the many others ways I'm probably completely unaware of.
And to my mother-in-law, thank you for raising my husband. I've heard that it wasn't easy, but I definitely think he turned out well.
To all the friends who support me in this, I love you. For your words of wisdom, advice, support, empathy... you give me perspective.
To my three boys, thank you for making this all worth it.👦🏼👦🏼👶🏼 To my God, thank you for giving me The book to remind me of my sole purpose as a mom, remind me of forgiveness, and to remind me each day is a blessing.
Happy Mother's Day. ❤️
