It's not the time to ❌Take it personally
❌ Argue or Berate her
❌Resign to your fate and do nothing.
❌Threaten or force her to stay
So what do you do this season when your maid wants to leave as many maids would.
✔ Negotiate a later date with her. E.g can you leave in 7 days instead of 3?
✔During the extra days she has left, ensure she gets major chores done E.g Bulk shopping, major cleaning etc
✔Find a credible short-term alternative. A live-out help, a neighbour, you can work out sharing maids with your neighbour if she doesn't mind, but you'll pay her. (Of course😏) By "her" i mean the maid.
✔Create a routine for your home.
✔If you have older kids, call them to explain that the maid is leaving. Restrict their play to certain areas of the house to minimise the cleaning to be done after.
✔Consider working from home on the days you can. Don't be scared to ask. You never can tell what is permissible.
