"Who's Behind the Door?" is from the self-titled debut album by Zebra, released on March 21st, 1983. The album was critically acclaimed for its lush rock sounds, due in large part to Randy Jackson's lead vocals and guitar, selling 75,000 copies the first week. "Who's Behind The Door", written by Jackson, received serious notice in the press, and helped to form legions of Zebra fans almost instantly.
The song refers to the questions we all have, "What is on the other side, if there is anything at all?". When Randy was asked about the meaning, he said; "When I was a kid, I had a lot of questions about life in general and that's how I wrote 'Who's Behind The Door?'"
Zebra, founded in 1975, features Randy Jackson (Guitar and Vocals), Felix Hanemann (Bass, Keyboards, and Vocals) and Guy Gelso (Drums and Vocals). Although Zebra has not released any studio material since 2003's Zebra IV, the band continues to perform live. (link in bio)
