An true trooper and an old wise man, wolf #763M has survived the unimaginable as a wild Yellowstone Wolf. Notice his splayed right front leg, he's broken it at least 2-3 times but keeps bouncing back. Born outside the Park to the 8-Mile pack nine or ten years ago, he split off to form the Prospect Peak Pack with 821F from the Quadrant Peak Pack. His recurring leg injury had resulted in him being left behind several times that we know of, twice he was MIA for months before popping back up as a very healthy and vibrant, not to mention handsome, specimen. His most recent reappearance on Thursday was a shock to us all, as we assumed he had been dead since last fall. Apparently he and several other Prospect male have joined the Junction Butte females 907F and the grey female yearling. Today we saw a new unknown black that arrived with 763M tie with 907F. Hopefully, 763M will be able to spread his hearty genes as well in the next few week. What a wolf!
