If you were interested in adopting puppy named Rondo, please know he’s in foster right now but if you want to adopt him please reach out to NYC ACC because you can adopt him 🙏🏼 @pitties3
The following animal is NOT at the shelter. They are in an AC&C FOSTER home. They cannot be pulled by a rescue..... BUT they are STILL NOT SAFE --- > At the END of the FOSTER PERIOD, IF NOT ADOPTED they GO BACK INTO the SHELTER and are AGAIN AT RISK "TO BE DESTROYED!" 😢💔
Hello, my name is RONDO 💙
My animal id is #33620
I am a desexed male brown dog at the #Brooklyn Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about #6months 1 weeks old.
💔#RETURNED AFTER 4 DAYS on 18-Jul-2018 - surrender reason stated as TOO HYPER 😳. #CIRDC
ORIGINALLY CAME IN AS A #STRAY ON 7/08/18. ADOPTED 7/14/18.
INTAKE — Rondo was #receptive to handling. He #allowed to be collared but would occasionally try to PLAY BITE the collar. He would #jump on counselor and try to PLAY BITE. He had a #soft and #wiggly body language.
Previously lived with:: 3 adults, one young child (6yrs). The child interacted with Rondo briefly. Rondo would jump on the child and would sometimes be #mouthy according to adopter. He is very #friendly with strangers and jumps all over them.
NO BITE History NOR Guarding Issues.
SAFER Summary:: Rondo was #soft and ATTENTION SEEKING during his assessment though #mouthy throughout (moderate pressure).
PLAYGROUP 7/8: Rondo is bit #timid in a group of small and large dogs. He briefly engages in short bouts of play with other juvenile dogs but becomes #overwhelmed when his energy level increases. With small dogs, Rondo self-handicaps (lies down) and #solicits play.
7/9-10: Rondo was much more confident today in a group of playful small and large dogs. He did still self-handicap when overwhelmed by the energy of the group.
