Not sure what to classify this workout as but it's on my program several times in this training cycle. 1 easy, 2@ 7:55, 1 easy, 2@ 7:55, 1 easy. Easy pace is about 9min. It's a tough workout as I believe it's building my capacity to hold pace over longer distances. All I know is at 4:30am it's a damned hard workout and by 5:30 I have 7 miles in the books 😳! Napping at work is frowned on so I will be hitting the coffee hard!

UPDATE.... As some of my @stravarun followers would know, I've been battling with some lower leg pain for the past 2 weeks and have been only been able to do minimal running in the lead up to this Sunday's @7scmarathon. .

I was scared that I had a stress fracture in my left fibula bone as it was painful to land on each step so went off to get an MRI at @olympicparksportsmed who really looked after me and got my results straight away. .

Good news was that there was no stress fracture and only some soft tissue damage which I have been aggressively managing.
I've been lucky enough to have been able to cross train on the bike, pool running and Alter G treadmill running. From running 254km one week to 40km the next.
Thankfully with some amazing support I will be starting the marathon this Sunday. .

CONSISTENCY ✔️....and a little bit of SUNSHINE! ☀️ shaved off 4sec for a 5km to get another PB. It's all about what you do consistently and the habits you create when you want to see results. Whether you want to have a better career, run 5km without stopping, lose 10kg... you can't just have one good week or month, you've got to make good choices consistently. And that's when the hard work will pay off 👊🏼

I do best with something to work towards .. so .. I'm planning for a 10km race in September or October. I've done a few runs this month so I decided on 5k tonight. The last km was very mentally challenging, but, I did it! Hoping that having a goal in mind will help me with consistency!
