You are going strong on your health kick - eating the right foods, exercising daily and you’ve pretty much changed your lifestyle. Things are going along fantastically, you’re feeling like a million dollars and you’re on your way to looking like a Calvin Klein model!

The next thing you know you’re at a friends event and you’re eager to try some of the delicious mouth watering ‘party’ food on offer. You know it’s not part of your diet but you tell yourself you’ve been doing great on your health kick and now deserve a treat. So you decide to have some pizza 🍕, a bottle of wine, a bit of this, a bit of that and who knows what else?! 🤔

Then you wake up the next day feeling bloated, disappointed and regretting the whole night! Unfortunately this is quite a common occurrence amongst people who have the all or nothing mentality towards their diet.

If you’re beating yourself up like this it’s time to STOP 🛑 It’s important to know that if you are following a healthy diet there is nothing wrong with indulging in some not so ‘diet friendly’ food during the week or on occasion depending on your goals.
.
Beating yourself up about it will only result in negative consequences. Here are some important points to keep in mind the next time you indulge;
•You have not stuffed up all your hard work for the week over one ‘cheat’ meal.
•Don’t lose it completely and have a massive blowout that continues for a whole weekend - make sure to get back to business the next day.
•Lose the “I won’t train because I stuffed up my diet” attitude. (Remember; back to business)
•Incorporate eating protocols such as intermittent fasting on days that you have events.
•Communication is key with yourself or your trainer to find a suitable plan that works for you.

As cliche as it sounds, the beauty of being in the fitness industry is being a part of and seeing many amazing individuals transform their bodies and their lives 🖤❤️

She has been a regular gym goer for over twenty years and was limiting herself to performing only cardio exercise! ✅What is unilateral training?
.
This term means performing exercises that work one limb exclusively or exercises that are biased significantly towards one limb 💪🏾
.
In a single-legged leg press, for example, you press using one leg, while for a double legged leg press you press using both legs but by doing one leg at a time you will put more emphasis on that one leg
.
This approach is different from bilateral training, which uses both limbs evenly in moves such as the barbell squat or deadlift
.
The benefits might not be immediately obvious but they are numerous such as

2️⃣ Great focus on the muscle
3️⃣ Correct muscle imbalances
4️⃣ Improving balance
