I meant to post this yesterday, but I forgot some I’m posting it now. I’ll still do another post today:
While I know that Luis Severino’s ranking isn’t low, I think he could offer great value for his ranking. Severino proved last year that he’s legit. Severino can give your team pitching a huge buff especially based on where he’s being drafted. He’s someone that I would trust on my team to give consistently stellar performances. He’s still a young player with a lot of room to improve. He’s ranked as the eleventh starting pitcher, but I would likely take him over Jacob deGrom, the tenth ranked pitcher. I think Serverino can offer consistency that you may not see with other pitchers like deGrom. Stanton was also added to the Yankees this offseason, giving them another buff in the outfield. Obviously this won’t result in huge differences in Severino’s stats, but it would be helpful, especially in stopping runs from scoring. With Severino’s position he would be an excellent second pitcher. He could even work well as your first pitcher drafted and then you can build around him. Severino is young, but that shouldn’t make you shy away from drafting him, as he could be a great consistent fantasy pitcher for your team.
