315x3 Beltless Deadlift 💀 My form isn’t the best but I hit a PR that will be crushed again 💪🏽. Maybe I should look into using a belt for my deadlift lol. Doing Deadlifts correctly require a lot of energy make sure you eat well and sleep enough, if you don’t then you are paving yourself a road for injuries. Here - in this particular gym - `3 plates` club starts with 170, not with 140 kg ☺ You have to "pay" 30 more, but the satisfaction is greater as well 👌😎 • The fourth workout for the last training sprint in 2017 was a back workout. And it was good enough 👊 Happy Thursday 😉
So wanted to see if I had a 140kg bench in me. So decided to #YOLO and see if I could do it.. I. Was pretty confident going in so pretty happy that I was got it. 140 was messy but 142.5 was a lot cleaner and a 7.5kg PB. Also decided to Deadlift as really enjoying at the moment... Worked up to 240kg 530lbs but accidentally time lapsed it so looks super speedy BUT in reality it was a slow ass rep... If you want to see in real time check out @planetdean2.0 story! MILESTONE SQUAT ACHIEVED. Last night at 1130 PM I finally squatted 3 plates. No belt, knee sleeves, body weight around 170. Definitely rebound from the sleeves, but I'm really happy with the depth and the core strength I've developed from training almost exclusively beltless. In the words of Konstantin Konstantinovs, "This is my belt!". High frequency high intensity low volume training has been treating me pretty well. So has training naked knee. I threw the sleeves on last night because I failed at 265 naked knee and decided instead of going home I'd put the sleeves on for some extra work. My mentality was "well 285x3 with sleeves is better than a failed 265 single with no sleeves and moving on to lunges". Glad it paid off. Of course shout-out to @shredbeefstein and @philpark16 for the advice and motivation. On to bigger weights. 225 bench soon, then 405 deadlift, then 405 squat.
