It is just one week till our yearly trip to Georgia! This year we are adding a two day stop to Charleston, SC and one day stop in the Smoky Mts. Savannah, GA holds a special place in our hearts as it was Lenzie’s all time favorite place she had always wanted to visit. I was lucky that I was able to take her for her first time in 2016 and she even more fell in love and discussed it as a possible wedding location. We were married by the great @tracybrisson in Warren Square in Oct 2017. When I first went to her apartment, I noticed she had magazines and books of Savannah on her table...so that was a huge plus! Savannah for me was my first true home after my time in college and my first army duty station of Ft. Stewart. Hannah was a Georgia baby and I have another daughter named Savannah. I called Georgia my home for nearly 6 years (I lived in Columbus, GA 2002/Savannah, GA 2002-2006/Augusta, GA 2006) I was deployed in combat 2003,2005,2006 in Iraq. Many of my army friends whom we lost, have memorials near Savannah. There are faces in my life that aren’t the same as the years past, but that doesn’t diminish my love or old memories I have had there. Finally, it is one of the most beautiful and historic cities in the country! Someday we hope to call Savannah home...but that is still many years away so for now yearly visits will have to do! Here are a few pictures from over the years from Savannah, Tybee Island, and one from Jekyll Island. .
