This man was and is one of my favorite bodybuilders🏋 and even more so for the fact, he stood his ground and his principles to not compete in the IFBB as he felt it was fraudulent and shady at the time💡 Not sure if anything has changed in the IFBB since 🙄
He refused to compete in bodybuilding competitions, as he felt there was too much negativity among competitors. He wanted to focus on perfecting his own physique and support the sport the best he could.
Victor Richard's was a one-of-a-kind bodybuilder. Weighing in at over 300 pounds and standing 5’9”, Richard's possessed one of the most muscular physiques of all time. Not only was he a mass monster, but he had great shape and lacked the distended belly of today’s heavyweights.
His strength and size were legendary. Richard's could squat 900, curl 315, shoulder press 450 and bench 600. He had 26-inch arms, 24-inch calves, a 67-inch chest, 37-inch thighs and a 36-inch waist. Yes, you read that correctly. His thighs were larger than his waist!💯 He also had a unique approach to training, in which he let his body dictate his intensity. Richard's would never count sets or reps, instead, he would simply train until he felt his body was fatigued enough to respond to the training with growth.
This type of training might sound insane, but for someone who understands what their body needs it can be highly effective. Richard's’ crazy level of muscular development should be a testament to his training style. Not listening to your body in regards to training and recovery is a very common mistake among bodybuilders.
SALUTE TO THIS MAN! He's definitely uncrowned Mr O💪🏆
