Today is my 2-year fitversary!! 🎉 While I was always fit-ish in my 20’s, I found myself turning 30 and after a cross-country move and job/ life changes, not my healthiest self. I knew I wanted to make some healthy changes to kickoff the decade we would start a family. 👶🏻
So I dove into a new healthy lifestyle that involved 30-min workouts I could do at-home, following a structured exercise + eating plan. 🏋🏻♀️🧘🏻♀️🥒🍎🍗🥙 This was more than a diet, as I knew I wanted sustainable results that I could maintain for the rest of my life. Since then, I’ve followed a flexible + easy 80/20 balanced eating plan that still allows for plenty of my favorites 🍷🍕🥞🍧🍩 while also fueling my body with the best nutrients for the best results!!
What I love most about this journey these past 2 years is that I was at the peak of my fitness when I ran my first marathon this past October while 5 weeks pregnant!! 🏃🏻♀️ Making my health + fitness a priority has made such a difference in experiencing an amazing and positive pregnancy 🤰🏻It’s wild to see my body literally change overnight and I’m amazed at what our bodies are capable of. 🙌🏼 And I have the tools already in my tool belt for getting that post-baby body back postpartum (all in good time, naturally).
Overall I’m SO grateful for good health and making the necessary sacrifices 2 years ago to be where I am today!! And thank you to all of my friends (and most importantly my amazing hubby John + bestie Jami) who have supported me along the way 👏🏼👏🏼 I’m always here if ever I can provide any support + advice!! It’s so worth it. Cheers to a lifetime of health + happiness 💕
