“The process of assessing how you feel about the things you own, identifying those that have fulfilled their purpose, expressing your gratitude, and bidding them farewell, is really about examining your inner self, a rite of passage to a new life.” Marie Kondo
I've decided to extend my summer clearance sale until Wednesday, so you guys have 2 more days you can save! GO NUTS!!! 🥜 Also, how pretty is this Darcy beanie (free pattern available on Ravelry)?? I made two of them with that lovely green hand dyed yarn from @knitwithus I showed you before, and both sold before they were even made 😛😛😛 Clearly it's good luck! 🍀 #notsponsored
I'm so grateful for this amazing community of talented makers 🎀 Check out this awesome photo by Justine from @loopsforlittles of her version of my Chesapeake Shawl pattern 🤤 I just can't get over it! Pattern available on Etsy and Ravelry 💖💖💖 Also, don't forget there are only a few days left to save with my summer clearance sale!! Sale ends Monday at noon CAT ⏰
I know I've said it a hundred times, but when it's 100° outside, all I want to think about is fall, fall, fall. 🌻 I named this beanie design I am working on with @fairlightfibers after Artemis, the goddess of nature, because I think it would be perfect to wear out hiking and enjoying the fall leaves in a couple of months 🍁🍂🍃 I hope you guys are getting as excited for the upcoming release of this pattern as I am! 🙆♀️
✖EDIT: SOLD✖A good friend of mine saw the picture I posted the other day of my amazing hand dyed yarn from @knitwithus and immediately ordered a beanie! I guess this green really is good luck 🍀 I will have enough to make one more beanie with this skein if one of you guys want one! Just dm me the style you'd like and I'll make it happen 💚
I never have the heart to put away my holiday socks when Christmas is over, so here I am, knitting away in the middle of summer with sledding penguins on my feet 🐧 I guess this qualifies as celebrating Christmas in July?? ☃️🎄🎅
This past weekend hubby and I visited a local yarn shop and picked out this luscious hand dyed merino by the Susquehanna Knitting Company (@knitwithus) as an early birthday gift to me! 🍃 I'm so excited to do some #selfishknitting for once. What do you think I should make??
So yesterday's trip was a little disappointing....it was very hot and humid so we didn't get to stay long at Assateague (though we did see some adorable ponies!), and everywhere else we went was super crowded. But then when I got home and saw that my package from @stitchandstory finally arrived, it felt like Christmas morning!! 😻😻😻 I simply cannot get over this amazing wool....it's as soft and fluffy as a cloud☁️ and the color of sangria🍷So obviously I am a H A P P Y girl 😽
Today hubby and I are driving out to explore the adorable little town of Berlin, Maryland. 😍 Not only do they have little yarn shop and an art gallery/cafe, Assateague Island is very close by! ☀️🏖🐎 I have wanted to visit there for as long as I can remember, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we see some wild ponies!! 🤞🤞🤞 What are you guys doing to celebrate the 4th?
"A person who has good thoughts cannot ever be ugly. You can have a wonky nose and a crooked mouth and a double chin and stick-out teeth, but if you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely." 🌼 Roald Dahl
"i have come to realize that stuff takes us away from our roots, from the outdoors. and with more time now spent outside, i no longer take the earth for granted and i find my spiritual faith has been recharged."—Bea Johnson in Zero Waste Home • staying in and having a slow morning and reading this book and i love the ideas and practices she talks about. has anyone here tried Zero Waste before? i'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences! also here's a gorgeous plant that is seriously this purple in real life. • #zerowaste #thewildnesstonic #sustainableliving #plantmamadiaries #30daysofslowliving
*almost* got to the point where i could do an unassisted handstand a couple of months ago after practicing head and arm stands regularly since the fall. i am sadly nowhere near this now, as i've slacked off in taking care of my body with exercise lately. however, today i recommitted to get back to it. i dislike the heat so it's always been hard for me to stay active, exercise wise, in the summer. because as often as i've tried, gyms just aren't my thing. i'm much more of a chilly evening run and crisp morning yoga sort of person. but i'm determined to feel good in my skin again because it's the skin i got. so here's to a little sweat never hurtin' nobody. • #practiceandalliscoming #selfloveisthebestlove #30daysofslowliving #yogadaily
I need to make another one of these 😻😻😻
I don't know if you've seen my stories, but yesterday I hurt my foot at work. I was watching behind me as I pulled a U-boat to make sure I didn't run over a customer and ended up running over myself 😝 oh well....its a good excuse to sit down and make pretty things today! 💝 Plus it's already feeling a lot better. Thank you to all of you who have asked about me! 😚 And because I am NOT hobbling around to take a picture today, here is a #flashbackfriday of one of my favorite Wanderlust infinity scarves in cerulean blue. Dreamy right? It's available on my Etsy shop💎
