I have over 1,000 emails in my inbox. Among the things that come my way - Do I want to go to a national taco chain's test kitchen & sample recipes? No, I do not. What if they pay me? Still no. Do I want to do an ad for a national Bloody Mary mix for $50. No. For $300? No. No to the ice cream sandwich company out of LA. And no to the whiskey company that rhymes with Hameson. No, I can't do an ad for your Air BnB and I'm sorry your car got stolen but still, no.

1000 Things is just a passion project. A really f%*ing fun, awesome passion project that has lead me to some amazing, real & genuine friendships, as well as meeting some of the most hard-working, dedicated, creative business owners & artists in this city. But I'm very aware that some... entities just want to use me to get to you. I hold the line very tight, in terms of what I'll bring to you. I always ask, "Is this of value? Does it serve the people who care enough to follow?" 🌸 Tonight, I saw some amazing art go up in the city & now I'm having deep thoughts on a RiNo rooftop about passion projects... & how the drive for commerce can ruin our original intention for them. Happy Wednesday! I added a full body workout to the blog today so check it out. Even though I may have over indulged just a little over the holiday weekend, I don't feel guilty because it doesn't happen every day. Try not to use your workouts to punish your body for what you ate but to challenge your body on what it can do. Have fun!

WORKOUT WEDNESDAY
Cardio: Run/ Walk 3 miles

Complete each exercise in the circuit then repeat the circuit 2 more times for a total of 3 rounds before moving onto the next circuit.

Circuit 1:
Bench dumbbell flys- 15 reps
Lunges with dumbbells- 15 each leg
Seated Arnold Press- 15

Circuit 2:
Barbell Bench press- 12 reps
Bent over dumbbell rows- 15 reps
Toe Raises (3 positions-toes parallel, toes in, heels together with toes out)- 15 each position

Circuit 3:
Bicycle- 30
Jack knifes- 15
Tricep Dips- 15

Over the years, I've had many people tell me that TBM should have a spin off method that appeals to the masses. Why? Because our techniques, even though designed for preconception through post birth provide endless benefits for everyone who incorporates them. My passion is with the mamas so TBM will continue to support women in their motherhood journey but it's always special to gain a different perspective of how these techniques can help those outside of pregnancy and post birth ・・・

I've aimed to master her techniques and teach them in an all encompassing way. I am not pregnant, nor plan to be, but the methods we teach have been huge steps for me in the chase for understanding my body. I want to know its strengths, its weaknesses, where its vulnerable, how to have control, and also how to let go and flow. I encourage you to try these exercises out.

What are the benefits of doing such exercises? Without being too scientific:
-improved core strength
-developing body awareness or improving what awareness you already have
-better balance
-decreased chance of peeing your pants while laughing, sneezing, jumping, etc...yup, I said it
-best orgasms of your life....yup, I said that too
-decreased chance of abdominal separation which can happen during pregnancy or just in life, to men as well
-decreased chance of organ prolapse...vaginal, cervical, prostate, rectal
-a deeper understanding of how you control your body

If you cant laugh at yourself nor have fun while "working out" then why do it? Maybe change the term from working out to something that excites you, something that helps you enjoy one of your body's most basic needs: movement.
