When someone asks “How long between my before and after pics?”, I perceived that the real question they meant to ask “how long until I would see results if I did what your doing?” .
.
I had amazing progress in just 12 weeks when I started my first @bodybuildingcom #transformforlife challenge. With a properly executed calorie deficit, many people can conquer a substantial fat loss to decrease body fat. It takes much longer to acquire muscle mass. Although I’ve yet to go through a proper bulking phase because I’ve only lifted weights in a calorie deficit since starting my transformation journey, according to my starting bodpod and my recent dexa scan, I’ve gained between 5 to 10 pounds of lean mass (accounting for a margin of error) over the past 2 years from new lifter gains. The amount of lean mass I gain from here out will become less and less as I enter a more advanced training age

The bottom line, anyone in an aggressive calorie deficit will have immediate results quite quickly, however, it does take a lengthy amount of dedication to acquire a more athletic, muscular physique, assuming you’ve not had previous training

I also have a few people tell me they would rather not be so muscular and obtain the middle row results. Here’s why I continue to build my body: it’s easier to maintain a leaner body when you have more lean mass and I prefer power lifter and power building training style. It’s empowering and exciting. Nothing like a stranger slow clapping you at the gym after a crazy deadlift. I personally am not a fan of the cardio I would have to do to keep that lean without putting on muscle. Everybody is different but my body and personality is fits better with my current training style, so I suggest learn what you like to do and just do that. And if you ever “Gain too much” just cut back on the lifting. Not only is muscle difficult to gain, it hard to maintain if you’re not continuing your lifting regimen

Watching the sunrise! On vacation I always learn new things, and experience new adventures. This is the time when my daughters and I get to bond, reflect, and talk.
