I felt so weak today. I came up with so many excuses as to why I shouldn’t lift today. Then I remembered that I’m #19weeksout? LOL The only reason I signed up for a meet was to have something to train towards because I’ve been in a funk. Here we have squats at a modest 245lbs for a 5x5 (4th set shown). Followed by front squats. These felt like hell. My form is all over the place so I just need to be patient. Squats didn’t feel THAT bad considering i haven’t been training them.@brad_can thank you @_laalee_ for pushing me to go train today ❀️

FINALLY 2 plates for the rep range I’m currently aiming for!!! I am #19weeksout from my first @officialocb_page figure showπŸ‘™and I can feel myself getting stronger and leaner. Building yourself is an art form. My amazing coach @michaelpucci_ explains this in a recent interview (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=fy4anXRlV18&feature=youtu.be). It means instead of training TO BE - I am training AS IF.

I'm coming into every session working my hardest and when I leave I ask myself the question- did I train today the way that I would expect a world champ to train?

Whatever your goal is - act as if. If your goal is to be a fit and healthy person and you're not there yet, make decisions that a fit and healthy person would make on a consistent basis and you'll get there.

If your goal is to be a successful entrepreneur-act as if you already are. Make decisions on a consistent basis that a successful business owner would make.

The things you have to do to get there will be the same things you have to do to stay there.
.
.
Stop watching the clock and checking the scale/mirror every 3 minutes on the way there - get obsessed with the actions that produce results instead of the results themselves.

If you know what you have to do to get there and STAY there then why do you keep stopping? If you truly understand that there is no quick fix - that in order to sustain your results forever you'll have to put the work in FOREVER then get to work and keep working.

Sometimes I wish I could just give up and quit. But that would be an easy choice to make. As if today when I got home from work and I said to myself, " i am tired, my back hurts, I am not motivated today " , but I got that little voice in my head who gives me a reason to go and to keep pushing it.
And now just by showing up at the gym, I feel a lot better. You can make a difference for yourself by making choices you don't always want to make. Choose the hard way, Choose to challenge yourself. That is the only way to climb to the topπŸ’ͺ

I was trying to take a picture of the amount of food I'm eating and someone decided they wanted a bite haha!! I have heard hundreds of people talk about all the negative effects of prepping. And I totally understand where they're coming from.
