Well you can’t say I don’t try! We took the newborn insert out today and actually had an enjoyable leisurely stroll to the shops and back.... no screaming... Raven even nodded off. Well of course I’m over the moon and already planning trips out, let’s hope it lasts 🤞🏼 I had tried without the insert before but to no avail, but maybe now she’s more comfortable.
Raven is back to sleeping better at night, the wind has eased off and she seems so much happier again. Is it the colief? Recovery from tummy upset? The end of a developmental leap? Pure coincidence? We will probably never know. So many times it’s just a guessing game and I’m always mindful these days t not push the cure. A few weeks ago we bought the Myhummy, it is an absolute godsend if your baby loves white noise and you get tired of using a phone app and ours plays quietly all night. However, the day I bought it I didn’t use it immediately as I needed to put the batteries in and I’d forgotten so I used my phone instead. That night little Ray slept through for the first time. Had I used the Myhummy that night I would have sworn it was that which had gifted us all more sleep. So many times these little things have happened, my point is that we can never really attribute success to anything in particular when it comes to babies.
But anyway... today I’m feeling pretty chuffed and imagining lots of freedom of movement... one step at a time though.
