🍋Sansa's Lemon Cakes + recipe (#sugarfree, #vegan & #GoT fan-friendly) + invitation to a virtual Westerosi feast. Don't worry- it's not a wedding!
Cupcake recipe will follow below👇🏻 and continue in the comments :
As those of you who knew me this time last year will be aware, in 2016 I unleashed my inner #GoT-loving nerd and started an interactive creative food challenge known as #FoodofThrones2016. What began as a totally spontaneous exercise (in letting my imagination roam free to create food around a fantasy theme), became a fun means of sharing & collaborating with others. It was a non-cliquey celebration of both creativity & community, focused on whimsy not trend. Anyone could join, everyone was featured & others who participated told me that they found the process fun. I've been trying to think of a way that I can follow through on the idea that I had to use my little Thrones party to benefit worthy causes. And last night it finally struck me. An ebook will involve too much work (there were around 300 recipes that were submitted in total by the end of the GoT season). But I'm creating a special Food of Thrones recipe page on my site and will feature recipe contributions with active links to creators & their accounts both there AND via my Instagram account. I don't want to accept money on any charitable organisation's behalf, but I will share links to selected charities' official websites on the FoT recipe page and voluntary donations can be made direct to the organisations themselves. What do you think? ⁉️🤔More info coming soon
Happy Tuesday, all! Love Marisa xx
And thank you so much for the feature @cupcakeproject for the feature and to @thefeedfeed for featuring my pizzettas. Big 💕 to you, Stefani & Julie
The night before you bake pop 200 ml water + 200 ml spoon-for-spoon sweetener with stevia (or organic sugar) into a large pan. Bring mixture to boil, turn down to medium and stir. Slice 2 small lemons thinly. Simmer them in the syrup for around 7 minutes, remove carefully with tongs and lay on a baking paper-lined tray overnight to set.
