Because this is no race!
Our first priority at BP HQ was to design a group structure that would be welcoming to those who've never run before, or those amazing road warriors always worried about being too slow. Remember, speed is relative to you. We all have a fast and we all have a slow, so no need to benchmark yourself vs others. We're going to help you understand the different gears you have, as, when and IF you wish to explore them. You may just find your happy pace, some new friends to run with and feel no need to work your way through our groups. We want to give you the choice of progression, but without pressure to take it. Miles and smiles always come first.
Our three pacing groups will be as follows
X time on, and X time to recover, the perfect way to start your running journey or start to fight back safely from injury.
Let's try to keep moving, with some gentle 11 to 12 minutes miles.
Time to explore the average marathon pace for most, the 10 minute mile. We'll occasionally explore what sub 10 looks like to help you understand your pacing and gears to develop into a stronger runner. As always you don't have to and we'll make it fun, fun, fun.
So that's it! We'll be all heading out the door together to warm up before separating off, and around for questions after to discuss your training plans and goals. We're thinking we need to find some local food spots for refuelling as well. Any recommendations? Oh, and don't forget, hit the link in our bio for all our event details.
