18Jul: Happy is still hospitalised. I dashed to the hospital to send some hugs & kisses before flying to get his medicine - I know Happy doesnt know or bother who I am now. He doesn't look or sniff around at anything and he is trapped in himself. I feel that we've lost him & that the 2nd seizure on 2Jul broke him totally - all eye contact, awareness and sense of familiarity ended that night, as though strucked by lightning, he had lost all awareness and we've lost his love. #老人痴呆症。Though he was up & pacing around at home for a week, he wasn't himself.
We haven't been able to be out of the house since he was discharged last week as we'd take turns keeping vigilance on a pacing dog. Tonight is probably the only night I could be out to get his meds while he is safer at the hospital.
The pharmacist at Guardian Pharmacy at Paragon is really the best. No words can describe his service - Winston, I thought his name should be.
I approached his counter and handed him the prescription tonight & he'd immediately remembered my dog & that I was there a few weeks ago frantically looking for the drug to save his little life; which the other MEAN MEAN nurse in the veterinary clinic at Beo Cresent/Bukit Ho Swee, had wilfully refused to dispense despite me having a legit prescription & running around in the middle of the night for them! The pharmacist made my cold evening a little better. He bothered & he cared enough to explain & to answer all the questions a frantic dog mama has.
Yes. Dog medications can be dispensed at human pharmacies! Yes. These drugs are for humans too.
