Love yourself and don't change yourself for anyone else. Celebrate your uniqueness❤️
It shocks me more than anything that still there are pageant directors bullying young aspiring girls into believing only way to be successful is to be thin and size 0. This is what young pageant girls are experiencing right now and I experienced at first hand.
Before Miss Universe Japan or even the regional competition, I had countless people saying "How much will you lose your weight?", "How much will you narrow your waist?", "Your legs are too big, don't you think?" and the list goes on. THESE WERE SILLY QUESTIONS. I am confident, brave, healthy, strong, and truly love who I already am. Why should I change myself because others want me to be and define it is beautiful? It's so sad to hear or see young girls face this kind of criticism even now and try to get their outer beauties in unhealthy ways such as only eating vegetables or eating nothing all day long. These girls are sacrificing their mental and physical health instead of getting the outcomes sooner of course.
Miss Universe is an organization that gives young women platforms to achieve their personal and professional best and empower others not the one that seeks for size 0 girls. Real beauty queens are the ones who can use their potentials, powers, talents, and energies to serve others and make communities and the world a better place to live in.
Be confident who you already are! Please please don't change who you are the others want you to be and also, don't tell anyone else what they should be. My fellow girls, always remember that the true beauty comes from within❤️
