🐟 Sardines? Yes please! 🐟
When bought whole, these small fishes are a full meal by themselves, and should represent two meals for your dog per week - though you can divide the weekly allowance and give a bit every day.
Whole sardines are an excelent source of both calcium and vitamin D3, required to absorb it. They also have huge levels of omega 3 fatty acids, which benefit the whole body from heart to joints to the immune system. They are one of the fishes with the lowest level of mercury, so suitable for our small and sensitive pawkids. They also have plenty of selenium, which has a very important role in regulating thyroid and adrenal gland functions. 💪 And remember, don't skip the head - it's a great source of lecithine which has a positive on your dog, inside and out ❤️
So go ahead and give your dog a healthy boost from the sea, just remember to freeze them for a least 2 weeks first so they are safe to eat raw 🐾🐟
