Day 3 of 30 “Becoming Unstoppable”

Hey guys,

Quickly just wanted to the share the 3rd reason as to why I decided to become Unstoppable and create the same path for men to follow.
-
Honestly, working my 9 to 5 made me feel stuck in life. I felt like I wasn’t progressing in the life the way I wanted to. And I sure as hell wasn’t doing what I loved to do.
-
All I would notice was everyone posting photos on social media of them going on trips, doing cool things and looking “happy”. But we all know most social media posts are just the highlights for a person’s life. Not saying people are not happy but it doesn’t really show what’s really going on. So people start to feel inadequate.
-
My job was also just getting in the way. I needed to focus on my health so I could be more productive, energized and consistent to do more with my life.
-
By me feeling stuck it made want to change and start pursuing other goals, passions and hobbies which is why I made the change.
-

Day 2 of 30 “Become Unstoppable”

Have you gained weight because of your current job and lifestyle?
-
Prior to joining the corporate world I was in good shape.
-
I was active and worked out consistently but that all went to shit as soon as I graduated from college and started working a 9 to 5.
-
I fell into the routine of getting up every morning, going to work, coming home, eating and sleeping.
-
Because of this I lost focus on my health which meant my weight started to go up. I easily gained 30+ plus pounds in less than 2 years.
-
And although that may not seem like a lot, it was for me especially since I was healthy before.
-
My pants and jeans size went from size 32 to 38 and I still have them, lol. It’s funny to me now thinking I use to wear them but at that point in time it wasn’t.
-
My weight gain was affecting my confidence and how I perceived myself. I would ask how I got to this point. And although I knew how to lose weight… It wasn’t easy because I was still very much involved in the corporate lifestyle and it was hard to break out of my routine.
-
And when you don’t have confidence or belief in yourself it starts to impact your abilities to build relationships with other people, a potential partner, and other areas of life.
-
So what I had to do was break out of the routine first and make the decision to change and simply create a plan for myself to get back into shape through training and cardio. And it had to be something that fit my schedule because I was still busy commuting, working and traveling.
-
Which has lead me to where I am now. I’ve been able to regain control of my health, break away from the work work work lifestyle and increase my confidence physically and mentally by taking care of myself. And because I know it’s hard to get started I’ve created the same pathway for other men to get results and become #Unstoppable. Not only physically but mentally as well.
-
If you don’t have that then you’re setting yourself up to fail and not follow through. How many times have you said you’ll do something and not do it?

Day 1 of 30 "Becoming Unstoppable"...

Let’s take it back a few years…
-
I was working on a client for my corporate job located almost two hours away from my home location.
-
I was driving up there about 2 to 3 times a week in rush hour and that equated to about 3 to 4 hours of commuting. It sucked, lol.
-
While on that client I had a poor project manager that left me with the brunt of the work to do. At this point in time I was beginning to feel burnt out after working 2 years in a corporate environment.
-
It wasn’t just because of the work I had to do but also because I felt like I wasn’t doing what I loved to do. But I’ll leave that for another day.
-
Anyways, the constant commuting and stress to finish the project was ultimately what led to my breaking point and search for a new job that gave me better life balance.
-
I was tired of feeling mentally drained and burnt out every day.
-
Feeling burnt out these days is a HUGE problem in the corporate and office world. Why? Because everyone is so focused on work.. work.. work.. they end up putting their health on the back burner.
-
When you feel burnt out it makes it difficult to pursue other hobbies, passions and goals in life.
-
By me feeling burnt out all the time, all I wanted to do was come home after work, eat and sleep even on the weekends.
-
And this is no way to live which is what drove me to make a change.
-
So I did by looking for a new job and leaving my old one. This change helped inspire me to start taking better care of my health, working out more consistently and making a lifestyle change.
-
It was the last day I put my health on the back burner for my job.
-
If I didn’t make this change I would not be where I am now.
-
Helping other men transform their current lifestyle and become #Unstoppable. So they don’t have to feel burnt out anymore and can feel more energized about life to pursue other goals, hobbies and passions. Or simply just live a more fulfilling life.

Question for the men... Are you going to happy hour?

Should you be going to happy hour?
-
I'm only asking because I see a lot of men who take the time of their busy schedule to attend happy hour but don't take the time to even step foot in the gym for 1 hour a week.
-
To me that's baffling.
-
Yea yea... I get happy hour is fun and so is drinking from time to time but if you can't even get your health and fitness in order..
-
Then I don't think you should be going to happy hour.
-
I can tell you a short story about the last few times I went to happy hour.
-
And trust me I RARELY go now. I've maybe gone once or twice in the past year and it's only cause I feel bad always rejecting invites. Not that I'm a prude but I have other goals and going to happy hour doesn't help me get there.
-
But before I really took back control of my health I would go to happy hours more often.
-
What I soon realized after going a few times that it was really just a negative environment where people would complain about their day job and how frustating something is that their going through at work.
-
And on top of that I realized I would just go to eat crappy food and drinks that also left me feeling regret once I was home...
-
It's ironic to me why it's called "happy" hour, lol.
-
Anyways, I know I'm not alone when it comes to this because I work a corporate job still and I see it everyweek.
-

And it’s #humpday....

So fellas you likely feel partly excited it’s almost Friday but part is like “shit” I still have two more days to go until this week is over…
-
Trust me I get it…
-
But just because it’s hump day doesn’t mean you need to stop being productive.
-
Because one day lost, is one day farther from you achieving your goals.
-
And it compiles over a time. So for example, 1 year passed and every Wednesday you are not productive… that’s a shit ton of time lost that you cannot get back.
-
So instead of slowing down and becoming less productive try to energize and refocus your mindset to continue pushing through.
-
With that said you first refocus on something such as a goal or passion that you are pursuing.
-
If you don’t have this or know how to refocus… luckily the 1st week of Unstoppable only focuses on Mindset development so you can be a more productive and consistent individual.

Fellas, do you find yourself constantly missing the gym because of your work schedule?

Do you need something that is more sustainable in the long run because you want to not only make money but look good?

Well let me tell you a story about my own experiences working a corporate job and trying to balance with my health and fitness.
-
Before when I was working 40-50+ hours a week I would constantly find myself struggling to be able to make it to the gym. When I got home I would just make excuses as to why I don't want to go, lol.
-
It's the reason why I ended up gaining 30+ pounds after graduating from college.
-
All I was doing sleeping, eating, and working.
-
So I started to make a change by being more committed going to the gym about 4-5 times a week. And it worked and I saw results that lead to me dropping 30 pounds and getting back in shape but it was hard to sustain...
-
Especially now because I still have my corporate job AND help men become Unstoppable. Which basically means I work two full-time jobs...
-
Crazy, huh? Well what I soon realized was going to the gym 4 to 5 times a week wasn't going to cut it anymore and I sure as hell didn't want to stop going and get fat again, lol.
-
So I had to find a solution... Notice how I didn't make an excuse? Yea.. Quit with the excuses, guys.
-
Anyways, I figure my best bet was to workout 3 times a week (4 if I'm lucky and find the time) but 3 was good enough.
-
I also wanted to make sure I was getting the most out of my workouts instead of the standard body part split routine you see most "bodybuilders" do.
-
Thus, I implemented total body workouts to not only stimulate every muscle group 3x times a week but it helps to also burn more calories during my workout because I am hitting all muscle groups.
-
And because you are not a "bodybuilder" and a normal guy whose just trying to look good AND make money ;) then this routine will serve you best...
-

Do you struggle with anxiety?

I do. Almost daily. Where my thoughts become filled with self-doubt, negativity and my mind feels foggy.
-
It cripples my productivity and doesn't allow me to always reach my true potential.
-
It use to be worse and I've had to learn to over come and manage it.
-
Do you ever find yourself shaking your foot while you sit and can't sit still? I do.
-
Or do you feel like just laying in bed all day and not doing anything at all? I've been there.

Do you feel tired for no reason? Because of the thoughts that take over your mind? Same.

Anxiety is triggered by something and everyone's trigger is different but learning to identify that trigger is how I've learned to manage it.

Then taking a step back shifting my mindset to a more positive and clear state.

That's why it's so important to include mindset development in a fitness program. Because most people will fail not because they're lazy and don't want to work but because something deeper is stopping them. Like motivation, self doubt, anxiety, etc.

Once you can manage your anxiety or mindset. You can be more consistent and productive to achieve your goals 😉

I've become so tired of the fitness industry.

In fact for HOWTOLIFT and myself, it well never associate with large fitness expos or bodybuilding competition's like the olympia that aren't natural at least. It will be it's own identity leading people on the right path not the BS path paved by supplement companies, "experts" and steriods. Sorry if that offends anyone I know, lol.

But I’m going to be straight up in the post.

The reason you are where you are is because you make EXCUSES.
-
I’ve spoken to so many men over my years of training and I’ve heard every excuse in the book as to why they don’t take care of themselves.
-
Time. Family. Work. Friends. Too tired. No money. This. That. And everything else.
-
And these men are the same people who are in the same place they were a year ago.
-
And they will be in the same place they are now, a year from now.
-
This is a wake up call.
-
Yes, I get it. It’s hard. Life is hard. But you have one life to live and your health and body is the only thing you have that will keep you going.
-
Money won’t. Family won’t. Friends won’t. Time won’t, etc.
-
I do believe the one thing people lack is support. If you need support, get support. Join a program. Work out with friends. Get a trainer. Do something. Not nothing at all.
-
The most successful people in the world are successful because they know how to make decisions NOT excuses..
-

Why I'm launching Unstoppable.

I’m launching Unstoppable because I recognized men who work in corporate or office environment need a better pathway to begin taking care of themselves the RIGHT way. Not the quick fix way because that never works out in the long run.

Instead of just working 40.. 50.. 60.. hours a week, going home each day, eating, sleeping and doing it all over again.
-
A new approach to beginning a lifestyle change with support and motivation is needed.
-
I know this and can relate because I still work a corporate job.
-
I had to regain control of my health and make changes to my lifestyle to start living a healthier and more purposeful one.
-
I didn’t want to live the life or purpose created by someone else’s dream.
-
Now I’m not saying people should quit their day job cause everyone needs income BUT..
-
You need to make sure it’s your passion and purpose as well OR if it’s not then make sure you are doing MORE with your life than just the 9-5 everyday.

I did this so that men working in a corporate or office environment could overcome their lack of confidence, anxiety, feeling of being alone or shy..
-
Lose weight from working all the time and be more confident, energized and productive.

And break away from the corporate lifestyle and the monotony that it brings.
