I really don't understand why this is still a problem. We shouldn't need pins saying this in 2017.
I have been made to feel like one of the "sub-standard" human beings. By family, by friends, by schoolmates. Not good enough. Not pretty enough. Not skinny enough. I've never been accused of not being "American" enough because of the privilege I have. Take one of your attributes, maybe something you are proud of or even something you are ashamed of and think of the extremists in that group. For example, you're overweight. The extremists for that category might be seen as lazy, living off others, a bad person. Does it frustrate you to be grouped in that category because you don't share those attributes? Imagine if you were not allowed into your home because some extremists that are overweight became terrorists. Not too fair, right?
