M A I N T E N A N C E
This is a long one. Mostly because cupping and acupuncture have helped me so much and they get all the questions. So here goes:
I don't really believe in living with regrets, but I can definitely say that I regret not jumping on the cupping & acupuncture train a long time ago.
It took me something like 6 or so years to finally make the appointment with my long time student-friend @loveacupuncture, and I now cannot imagine life without her or our weekly sessions.
My body's a mess. As we all probably know well now. I'm not quiet about it. All the bouldering, all the weight lifting, all the yoga (yes, YOGA), all the athletics in my past life. So much.
But I intend on continuing to use my body in as high a level as possible for as long as possible. So! I don't just have a doctor check my health bill, I also manually get tuned up.
This stuff is to me like the difference between having someone look under the hood of your car and actually having work done to the car itself (like a tune-up...). And what amazes me about cupping and acupuncture is how it goes from being yes, a little strange, to being so fucking magical and helpful and healing. So much so that, like me, you'll think your therapist is actually a wizard.
It's like that.
All my climbers, all my serious yoga practitioners, all my athletes, injured friends, curious friends, my homies in need of relief in one way or another- go try this. Seriously. I swear by it. I wouldn't write all this if I didn't believe from experience. And I wouldn't keep going...obviously.
Treat yourself, get treated, maintain yourself so you can feel better and feel good!
K, the end 🙏🏽
If you're in LA! See @loveacupuncture! GO!!!! .
