I was looking through old photos and I had to share this. On the left is from 7+ years ago, where I am eating a FUCKING plain chicken breast 🐔 at the beach on vacation (and reading a nutrition book to boot). I was body dysmorphic at this time and diet obsessed. Now, there is nothing wrong with eating a plain chicken breast if that's what you want, but that's not what I wanted. All of my food choices were dictated by whether or not something would make me lose/gain weight and that's why I chose this. Vacations used to be about being as "hardcore& #34; as possible with food/exercise before a trip and then eating everything under the cabana and feeling like a total failure, only to repeat the cycle when I got home. Why do we do this??? This is not how it needs to be. .⠀

On the right is from a few months ago and this is one of my favorite pictures of me because I'm so happy (and not because of the booze). I'm having beers at the beach and I'm not giving a fuck about calories, whether or not I worked out, what I will/won't be able to eat later or what I'm going to restrict when I get back from vacation. This is a good relationship with food. This is living.
.

I'm at peace, going with the flow and choosing to live in the moment and enjoy the things I want to enjoy. My mind is clear and I'm connecting with the things that make me feel alive, like nature, sunshine and the people I love. Body acceptance granted me this freedom and I'm so grateful I made that choice. ⠀
.⠀

As I get older, I realize how fast life goes by and that every day is precious. Buying out of the dieting shitshow has allowed me to be present and helped the passing of time slow down. When your mind is not wracked with the diet mentality and weight fixation, you've got more time to really live. If that's not worth it, I'm not sure what is.

👏👏👏 to these words that accompany this incredible image of @simonemariposa:⠀
...⠀
"Reposting from one of my fave photo shoots.⠀
People assume I take these pictures because I have something to prove.⠀
They assume that I'm seeking validation from the internet, that I'm looking to attract the male gaze, that I'm promoting obesity & an unhealthy lifestyle.⠀
But if you are willing to get to know and not let ignorance and fatphobia get in the way, you'd understand that my passion is to make a difference. I strive to show the world what real people actually look like, and that we are capable of happy, healthy, amazing, enriched⠀
lives. ⠀
Of course you don't have to be naked/topless to show that you love yourself, but the journey to self love looks different for everyone, and I choose to do so this way, as well as through fashion and music.⠀
PLUS, being naked, or close enough to it, is the most liberating feeling ever. You gotta try it.⠀

It was six months ago that these special women came into my life. They are so different, but they had one thing in common: They were successful in every aspect of their lives, but they were living in a state of “I’ll be happier when…” (…I lose weight, “fix” myself, fit into those old clothes, etc. etc.). ⠀
.⠀

It’s been six months and these women are doing things they never thought they’d be able to do: Going to the beach, posting full-body photos on social media, going to the gym without mirror-checking, saying no to make time for themselves and discovering passions and interests that they didn’t have time for when their minds were consumed with bad body and diet mentality thoughts. ⠀
.⠀

These women (Lucienne - @26kleisen Robb - @gidget3304 , Jen and Karla) are some of the inspirational women who did Rock Your Body last year and they are telling their stories in the latest episode of Fearless Rebelle Radio. 🎧SummerInnanen.com/85
.⠀

They are here to prove that freedom exists when you ditch the myths that have been shoved down your throat over the years—about size, appearance and your happiness and worth as a woman. ⠀
.⠀

The thing I love most about these interviews is that these women will not bullshit you - they're not going to tell you that "they love their body" (and you'll hear about why I'm OK with that!) or that it was really easy. They open up about the struggles and successes in their journey together and tell you exactly what body acceptance feels like.
.⠀

I love these features because it shows how incredibly powerful it is to do this work with a small group of women who “get” exactly how you feel and it shows that body acceptance is possible for everyone, no matter your background or age. ⠀
.⠀

Enrollment for Rock Your Body closes at midnight EST on Friday and I know this can be your story too. 👉RockYourBodyNow.com

Women with curves are starting to make waves all over media - but they have curves in the "right places" . Bellies are tweaked, photoshopped, and more often completly overlooked for models with flat stomachs. We want to CELEBRATE every.single.part. of our bodies - bellies most definitely included. ✨ Incredible original artwork for @thestrutbymic by @marcelailustra

I was saying this to my Facebook group and I wanted to share it with you: I think you are SO FUCKING BEAUTIFUL!
.

Every time I see your pictures there is one thing I can’t shake from my mind and that is, “this person is so beautiful and they don't even realize it. Like, SO BEAUTIFUL.” ⠀
.⠀

I don’t like to throw around the word beautiful because it has become synonymous with “pretty” and “attractive,” so that’s not what I mean when I say it.⠀
.⠀

When I say you are beautiful I mean that I see something in you that radiates beauty. I see you for who you really are - your radiant authentic self - and that goes far beyond your outer shell. ⠀
.⠀

The other day I was talking to one of the women featured in the Rock Your Body spotlight series, Robb, and I asked her what it was like to see her video. She said, “It was great! Summer, I think I finally saw who I am.” ⠀
.⠀

A light bulb went off for me. This is what self-love is all about: seeing yourself for who you really are. ⠀
.⠀

When I was so wrapped up in body shame, fretting about what clothes to wear and what to eat and whether or not I had grown or shrunk, I was so detached from who I was because all of my resources were invested in becoming this other version of myself.⠀
.⠀

We’re looking at ourselves through this extremely judgmental and critical lens that is built upon fear and a belief that we are “less than” and it doesn’t need to be this way.⠀
.

I see you for who you are. I know you are beautiful and I know that you can see that for yourself too. Today is the last day for EB pricing on Rock Your Body and I'd love you to join me. 👉RockYourBodyNow.com

I eat when I'm working, checking my phone and watching TV. Sometimes all at once. Yes, I'm distracted. Guess what? I don't care. I like it. I tried eating without distractions and I hated it. I like to enjoy other things when I eat and that's how I roll. .

Here's the awesome thing about being a grown-ass woman: You get to do whatever the hell you want.

Why do we think that in order to be better, we have be hard on ourselves? Treating yourself like a grade-A asshole is never going to help you feel more at ease in yourself. We get to choose whether we view the world through the lens of "WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME" or whether we view it through the lens of "This may not feel great right now, but I GOT THIS."
.⠀

If you want to know how, that's exactly what I'm talking about later in the "Stop Being So Hard On Yourself" workshop. . 💥Want in? 👆in profile.
.

You will get the replay if you can't make it live.

I'm not quite sure what the post says except for the fuck you, but I get the sentiment and I love it. According to google translator, the caption is "To all who enter this account to leave derogatory comments or mocking of bodies that do not follow the canons of beauty established by 4 pedorros"
.⠀

Reposting @weloversize:⠀
...⠀
"A todos los que entran en esta cuenta para dejar comentarios despectivos o mofándose de cuerpos que no siguen los cánones de belleza establecidos por 4 pedorros: FUCK YOU 😻 @sukkerbolle"
