I love including this exercise in my leg days to target my glutes. Take a look at my form, the POSITION and ANGLE is important in order to target the glutes.

๐Ÿ‘ As I take a step back, I LEAN FORWARD in order to put the majority of my weight into the front legs glute.
๐Ÿ‘Also, when I step back I make sure the WEIGHTS STAY FORWARD (donโ€™t keep them by your side)- in order to load the glute with weight
๐Ÿ‘ I keep my weight in the front foots heel and push through that heel to stand up

I commonly get asked if Iโ€™ll ever step on stage and compete again. Iโ€™m 99.9% sure thatโ€™ll never happen ๐Ÿ˜Š

Donโ€™t get me wrong, I absolutely loved ๐Ÿ’—competing. I freakin LOVED the journey. It was the first time I really challenge myself physically, pushed myself to my limits- mentally, sacrificed a lot for 1 single goal, and truly learned about discipline. The lessons I learned from the 4 years that I was competing are ingrained in me and I am forever grateful for these.

Now, the look that I prefer on myself is a bit more curvy and thicker ๐Ÿ˜‹ Iโ€™m 20-25 lbs heavier now than I was competing ๐Ÿ˜ฒAnd more than anything, I now prefer a much more balanced and healthy lifestyle. Your girl loves her caramel cone ice cream ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿจ

One of the greatest thing about the human body is that YOU get to decide what you want to look like. Want to look lean? Want to be thick? Want to be slim? Want to look shredded? Want to be curvy? It can all be achieved! Remember, anything is possible if you work hard and stay patient โœจ
