Thought I'd share my killer lower body workout from this week with you!

Here is what I did:

4๏ธโƒฃ SUMO DEADLIFTS + PULSES
.
One of my favorite hamstring and glute exercises. Make sure you focus on using the back of your legs to lift the weight and squeezing your glutes HARD at the top. I finished off my body weight pulses and my hamstrings & glutes were on ๐Ÿ”ฅ
.
5๏ธโƒฃ & 6๏ธโƒฃ SUPERSET: ADDUCTOR + ABDUCTOR
.
I ended with this Isolation superset. Focus on squeezing the correct muscles to move the weight ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝ
.

Here is what I did:

1๏ธโƒฃ LYING HAMSTRING CURLS- 3x20 increased weight each set
.
Go slow on the way down, then flex ONLY your hamstrings hard to bring the weight up. Make sure you hips are pressed into the pad and you never over arch your lower back.
.
2๏ธโƒฃ SMITH MACHINE FRONT SQUATS- 4x15 increased weight each set
.
Take a close look, I raised my heels on this exercise to increase my range of motion bc my calves are tight. This allows me to drop low into the squat and focus on my legs.
.
3๏ธโƒฃ QUAD EXTENSIONS- 3x12
.
Keep constant tension on the quad. Take a close look, I'm FLEXING my quad but NOT locking out my knees. Do not lock out knees, this will put excess weight on the joint: no bueno.

I love doing this giant set (all 3 exercises in a row) at the start of my workout. I feel my abs engaged throughout the entire workout after! Give these 3 a try:

1๏ธโƒฃ ROPE CRUNCHES- 3x15-20
Exhale all your air as you crunch and flex your abd as hard as humanly possible ๐Ÿ˜ค Remember, no using your arms or back to pull the weight, let your abs do all the work.

2๏ธโƒฃ SWISS BALL CRUNCHES- 3x15-20
Get a deep stretch and focus on squeezing your abs to curl up in a C shape. No pulling on your neck ๐Ÿ™…๐Ÿฝ 3๏ธโƒฃ SWISS BALL V UPS- 3x10-15
.
This exercise is harder than it looks! Focus on using your upper abs to lift your upper body & lower abs to lift your lower body. Ending with this one will have your abs on ๐Ÿ”ฅ
